Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) is the main international airport serving Chicago, Illinois. The airport is spread in an area of  7,627 acres (3,087 ha) of land and is approximately 17 miles (27 km) northwest of the Loop business district and 15 miles to downtown. The airport is opened in 1944 and being operated by the Chicago Department of Aviation.
