Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is an international airport. The city of New Orleans owns it. It is located 11 miles (18 km) west of downtown New Orleans. The airport is spread into 1,500 acres (607 ha) of land and is also known as the third lowest-lying international airport in the world.
