Harry Reid International Airport

Las Vegas International Airport is officially known as McCarran International Airport, and it is named after Harry Reid, who represented Nevada in the United States Senate from 1987 to 2017. However, the IATA code of the Harry Reid International Airport remains the same as earlier, i.e.(LAS). It is spread across 2,800 acres (11 km2) of land and located 5 miles (8 km) south of downtown Las Vegas. The airport has four runways, two terminals numbered 1 and 3. These two terminals are not connected to each other. Terminal 1 is used by  A, B, C and D gates, whereas some airlines at Terminal 3 use the D and E gates. The airport is owned by Clark County and operated by the county’s aviation department. 

This international airport serves thousands of passengers by 30 airlines, such as Allegiant Air, Avelo Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and Spirit Airlines. Among these airlines, Southwest Airlines is one of the most dominating carriers. Some of the cities from where passengers can fly directly to Las Vegas are Dallas & Charlotte & Phoenix & Chicago & Miami & Los Angeles & Philadelphia & Washington with American Airlines, Atlanta & Minneapolis & Detroit & Salt Lake City & New York & Boston with Delta and New York & Denver & Houston & Dulles with United. Some international flights connect international cities to Las Vegas, such as Beijing, Hainan Airlines, Copenhagen, Norwegian Air, Düsseldorf, Air Berlin, Hong Kong, Singapore Airlines, Munich, Condor, Munich, Eurowings, Manchester, BMI, Manchester, Virgin Atlantic, Oslo, Norwegian, Paris, XL Airways, Sao Paulo, LATAM, Stockholm, Norwegian Air, Tel Aviv, El Al, Tokyo, Northwest Airlines, Tokyo, Japan Airlines. 

As Harry Reid International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the United States, more than 490 flights and 141,000 passengers travel through its terminals daily. To provide the best services to many passengers, the airport authorities have enhanced the amenities and facilities at the airport. The airport has several duty-free shops and stores, enabling travellers to shop within the airport while waiting for their airline. The airport also has some fantastic lounges, eventually giving flyers the luxury experience while waiting for their boarding process. The lounge services can be availed of a one-time pass to the United Club for $59 if you have same-day travel on a Star Alliance, United or partner flight. You can also pay to enter The Club LAS lounges in Terminal 3 and D Gates. Apart from lounges, there are some well-known restaurants and ATM machines to provide passengers comfort.
