Aurora Municipal Airport is a county-owned airport for the use of the general public. It has been operating since 1966 in the village of Sugar Grove, Illinois, United States. It is situated 13 km west of the city of Aurora in Kane County. The local government of the city of Aurora runs this municipal airport. Passengers can find this airport just outside Class B Airspace (O’Hare International). They can get quick and direct access to Chicago and other nearby business corridors. It has been designated as a reliever airport for Chicago’s O’Hare and Midway airports.  

There are three runways within the area of 1100 acres of the airport. Two of them consist of the concrete surface while the remaining one is made of asphalt surface. There are aircraft operations for military as well as commercial purposes on these runways of Aurora Municipal Airport.  Moreover, the runways also support single-engine and 23 multi-engine aeroplanes, jets, helicopters and gliders. In other words, these runways are able to accommodate the largest corporate, personal and military aircrafts. 

This Aurora Municipal Airport is supported by two fixed-based operators namely J.A Air Centre and Revv Aviation. These operators offer important services to passengers in the airport.  Some of these services include fuel, general maintenance, hangars, courtesy cars and shuffles, conference rooms, crew lounges, snooze rooms and much more. They also provide 24/7 staff to remove snow, on-site FAA Control Tower, no landing fees or curfew, quick turnarounds for fuel and ground servicing, rental cars and limousine services. The operators are also well known for providing flight training, aircraft rentals and charter service businesses. These services are available for 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. 

The aircrafts present in this municipal airport is maintained by J.A Air Centre, Revv Aviation, Chicago Jet Groups and MidAmerica Jet Works. J.A Air Centre and Revv provide these aircraft rentals. On the other hand, the services of Avionics are provided by J.A Air Centre, Chicago Jet Group and Revv Aviation. Moreover, flight trainings are provided by SIMPRO flight training programme, Gambit Aviation and Freedom Flying Company.
